12 Months in 12 Days ~ One Year ~Part Two
So I had this vision for my baby's cake smash. I like to keep my sessions fairly simple. I don't like too much fluff. I am more of a less is more kind of photographer, but I knew I wanted a little pizzazz for her birthday. I came across this beautiful DIY giant paper flower wall decoration and I thought THAT would be the perfect little backdrop.
Fast forward, 3 people, 8 hours, 50 pieces of paper, 1 Cricut, and 3 hot glue guns. We came up with this beautiful little flower banner! Which I fully intend to hang in her room now.
You never know how a baby is going to react during their cake smash. Some dive right in. Some cry. Some could sit their for an entire hour, other its 5 minutes and its over. Surprisingly this little one was right in there, but remarkably pretty tidy. Her face may have been a disaster, but other than me getting her dress off, she had kept it pretty darn clean!
I hope you have enjoyed this 12 Months in 12 Days of our beautiful little girl. (It may have taken me a little bit more than 12 Days to get it done, but you get the gist). I love our little family, and I love photographing their smiles, their tears, their everything. I don't want to pretend they are always the happy, when the truth is, thats not always the case. Photographing children in their element is my favourite, and I'm just a little bit obsessed when it comes to my own.
